This artwork merges city areas that lies on Cape Town’s reclaimed land and ‘old’ sea shore – the area around the Civic Centre and areas around the V&A Waterfront. This represents the contrast between the large structures that exist now, and the flat sea shore that lied there before settlement occured at Africa’s tip.
