Land art outing: join a group session

Create temporary art in the outdoors

After a quick introduction to get to know each other better, I'll introduce you to our site, land art as an art form, and guidelines to your creative process (including how to respect the ecosystem and leave a small impact). After a sensory tune-in with our surroundings (using our senses to look, smell, listen) we'll start playing & making - creating arrangements and visual poetry that express the dialogue you are having with your surroundings. I will make suggestions and give ideas if needed, but you are free to connect, play and create at your own pace and guided by your own creativity. You can create on your own, or work on something together with others. We'll have a look at each temporary art piece - appreciating, taking photos, and sharing thoughts that came up during the process. The site location depends on the season, the weather, and the tide.

Observatory Pigeons
Limited edition photographic print on art paper. Editions: 3 Size: 32 x 45 cm (which includes the white border) UNMOUNTED, UNFRAMED - the framed photo are shown as example/suggested framing. Please let me know if you'd like my input or suggestions about choosing a frame. Please allow up to 12 working days, these prints are printed on order. How did I take the photo? Double-exposure with a SLR Pentax K-100 camera - completely done in-camera, I did not use Photoshop or any other image manipulation programme! Instead of taking one photo on a piece of the film, I take two photos over the same frame on the film (TIP for DIY: when doing this, double the ISO setting on the camera: if you're using 100 ISO film, then set the setting as 200 ISO).
